Vincent van Gogh Notecards
This artful set of 20 notecards celebrates the work of Vincent Van Gogh (Dutch, 1853–1890). Van Gogh pursued various vocations before deciding to become an artist at the age of 27. Influenced by Neo-Impressionist technique and color theory after moving to Paris in 1886, he adopted a lighter color palette and broken brushstrokes as he developed his signature style. Over the course of his decade-long career, he produced nearly 900 paintings and more than 1,100 works on paper. Our notecards feature two each of 10 oil-on-canvas paintings by the artist, all in The Met collection.
