Shipping

We offer flat-rate shipping for each order within the US and Canada. Items shipped to any given address may be shipped in separate parcels on separate days, but you will only be charged once per address. The shipping information below does not apply to Met Custom Prints orders.

A flat rate of $12.95 applies to orders shipped within the contiguous 48 states; a flat rate of $25.90 applies to orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and APO/FPO; and a flat rate of $39.95 applies to orders shipped to Canada.

Shipping surcharges apply to certain oversized items. Shipping costs may also be influenced by the size and weight of the product and your location. You will be contacted by Store Support if your shipment exceeds our flat rate. Extra charges will be incurred for overweight or multiple carton shipments. Delivery times are as follows:

  • Contiguous 48 states: 3–8 business days
  • Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, APO/FPO: 5–15 business days
  • Canada: 5–10 business days

Free standard shipping on orders of $100 or more, now through 12/31/24. Available only to shipping addresses within the contiguous US. Offer does not apply to prior purchases, Membership purchases, or select items with surcharges. See our Special Offers & Promotions page for complete details.

Expedited and overnight delivery options are available. In addition to the Standard flat rate, the following charges apply:

Express orders must be placed by 12 pm ET (excluding weekends and holidays) to be considered as placed on a given business day. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be handled as if placed the following business day. Shipping surcharges apply to certain oversized items. We are only able to offer delivery to addresses within the US and Canada on our website. For international shipping inquiries and delivery options, kindly reach out to Store Support.

All domestic orders are tracked. Your shipment confirmation email will include the shipping date, the carrier, and the tracking number. You can also track your order by visiting My Account. Contact Store Support for assistance in tracking international orders.

A surcharge will apply to oversized items, which are noted online and in our catalog. Contact Store Support for more information.

The purchase of more than 20 units of any one product is subject to approval and may result in additional shipping charges.

We will promptly inform you in the rare case of a shipping delay that exceeds 30 days.

Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your Met Store purchase. If for any reason an item does not meet your expectations, please return it within 90 days for an exchange or refund in the manner in which it was paid. We can only refund or exchange merchandise that is in saleable condition; shipping and handling charges cannot be refunded. Memberships, donations, eGift Certificates, and Gift Cards are also nonrefundable. All Clearance merchandise is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

To return or exchange an item, just fill out the form included with your order. Use the return label provided on the back of the form to send your items to:

Online customers should receive a confirmation email once we've issued a refund. Please allow one billing cycle from the time we receive the returned item for the refund to appear on your credit card statement.*

*Applies to online and catalog purchases only. For retail store purchases with a receipt, you may return or exchange merchandise in saleable condition within 90 days from the date of purchase. Without a receipt, a store credit will be issued for the item’s lowest selling price.

Effective January 1, 2024, all gift recipients who make a return will receive online store credit, provided we can identify the original order. If you cannot include the purchaser's packing slip, we will issue you a refund for the item’s lowest selling price. Please be advised that an online store account is required to receive the store credit. For gift returns made in-store, a store gift card will be issued.

If the merchandise is damaged or defective at the time of delivery or the incorrect item was sent, please contact Store Support for a swift resolution.

Met Custom Prints and The Met Store, by You purchases are individually made to order and cannot be returned or exchanged.
