Egyptian Goddess Tote
The compelling goddess on our tote comes from the spectacularly painted coffin of Khnumnakht (ca. 1850–1750 B.C.) in The Met collection. Although Khnumnakht is an unknown individual with the exception of his name, his coffin is remarkably embellished with texts and decorative panels, including this female figure—a rare depiction before the late Middle Kingdom.
