American Gilded Age Ring
Our handsome ring features a natural jasper stone and nods to the decorative ornament on an American side chair (ca. 1870) in The Met collection. Herter Brothers (German, active New York, 1864–1906), one of New York's premier cabinetmaking firms, produced this magnificent chair for the wealthy industrialist William H. Vanderbilt. Notable among its luxurious details are the turned legs and ionic capitals, as well as the graceful swan forms at the crest rails.
Due to the natural elements in this jewelry, the color of the stones may vary.
