Membership & Member discount

Effective July 3, 2023: When you purchase a Membership online from The Met Store, you will automatically receive an initial Member discount of 30% toward your Met Store purchase, excluding clearance and sale merchandise. This 30% discount is valid only at the time of the Membership purchase and does not apply to the cost of the Membership itself, nor to Met Custom Prints purchases. You'll receive the 15% Member discount on all subsequent purchases, including on Met Custom Prints. Please see Offers and Promotions for further details on exclusions.

If you are a current Members who did not purchase your Membership online, you can easily register and enter your Member number. Once your member number is added to your account, the price you see at checkout will automatically reflect your 15% discount. If you became a Member after registering on our website, you can add your Member number to your profile at any time by signing into My Account.

Memberships can also be purchased and given as gifts. The 30% initial Member discount does not apply for such gift memberships.
